About Manufacturing

The Manufacturing process within ManageMore allows you to record the production of items (assemblies) from their raw components and labor. The process can be segregated into up to three steps: Work Requests (optional), which allow the requisition of assemblies to be built; Work Orders (optional), which are firm commitments to produce goods; and Work Receipts (required), which record the actual production of goods. Work Receipts may be reversed, if necessary, for error correction. Once a work receipt is recorded, the costs are transferred from the raw materials inventory accounts to the assembly inventory, and labor costs are added, and production variances and scrap are calculated.
