Wages | Any kind of regular wage or salary that would be paid to employees for regular time worked. This can include regular pay, overtime pay, doubletime pay, sick hours pay, vacation pay, holiday pay, etc.

Addition | Any kind of additional pay amount that is not tied to the amount of time worked. This can include Bonuses, Car Allowances, Reimbursements, etc.

Deduction | Any kind of reduction in salary or wages that would be used to either pay for something the company offers or for taxation's purposes. This can include 401K deductions, company stock purchases, health/life insurance, paying off invoice balance with the company, etc.

The following three fields are listed here for reference only and cannot be chosen for a new payroll code.

Commission | This is used for employee commission amounts that are calculated by the sales commissions process.
|
|
Contribution | This is used for amounts paid by the company on the employee's behalf outside of ordinary payroll taxes.
|
|
Payroll Tax | This is used for amounts paid by the company for payroll tax purposes.
|
Fixed Annual Amount | Amount paid per pay cycle determined by dividing the annual rate by the number of cycles in one year.
|
|
Rate per hour | Amount paid per hour worked within a cycle.
|
Fixed amount per cycle | Amount added or deducted per cycle stays constant.
|
|
Rate per Quantity/Hour | Amount added or deducted is based upon a quantity or number of hours multiplied by a rate per unit.
|
|
Percentage | Amount added or deducted is based upon a percentage of the total pay.
