About Transaction Postings

This screen allows you to see how any transaction created in ManageMore affects your general ledger. Effects of a transaction can be viewed either on an Accrual or Cash basis.

Field by Field Help - View Transaction Posting screen

Print
Click on this button to print a report listing the general ledger posting information on screen.

Source Type
Displays the type of transaction created that created the effect on the General Ledger.

Source ID
Displays the transaction number of the source transaction.

Accounting Method
Select the manner in which the posting should be viewed. Select from Accrual or Cash.

Cash Basis Date
When using the cash method of accounting, enter or select the date on which to base the transaction's effects.

Posting Date
Displays the date on which the particular account was posted.

GL Account
Displays the account number and name for GL account posted.

Location
Displays the location number where posting occurred (based on original transaction).

Description
Displays what portion of the transaction was posted (e.g. Sales, Cost of Goods Sold,...)

Debit
Displays the amount debited to the GL account posted (if applicable). A total amount debited is displayed at the bottom of the window.

Credit
Displays the amount credited from the GL account posted (if applicable). A total amount credited is displayed at the bottom of the window.
